The Lyrics

“Bloom” Lyrics

Intro:
Watoto, ready?

Chorus:
We’re born from progress
not just pain
But we can’t wash away the trauma
with the rain
We need real justice to restore
mistakes once made
Before our time
so we need you
Stop acting like we doomed

We ain’t blight
We bloom.

We ain’t blight we bloom
(We ain’t blight cause we bloom
now, now now now)

We ain’t blight we bloom
(We ain’t blight cause we bloom
now, now now now)

We ain’t blight we bloom
(We ain’t blight cause we bloom

Verse One:
I’m on the street like hands up please don’t shoot/
I think back on the things my people went through/
Say no to drugs to keep up a healthy mental/
Don’t stress look back at the things we did do/
Melanin  all up in me so the sun I’m loving/
You try to tell me about my people, you can’t tell me nothing/
We Built the traffic lights and pyramids to tell you something/
First female millionaire and she came from
Nothing….uh/
remember that your beautiful from your head to toe/
Never hiding from your past you should let them know/
Put the seed in our earth cause we gotta grow/
Come together as a people we can push it through/
put the guns down violence is a no now/
Not to drugs now, we just need need some love now/
Alcohol down, water in our cup now
Above the influence,

nothing cannot bring us down

Chorus:
Were born from progress not just pain/
But we can’t wash away the trauma
with the rain/
We need real justice to restore
mistakes once made/
Before our time

The Primary Hypotheses

A. Peer-2-Peer Design Lab students will realize greater improvements in marijuana risk perception than non-Design Lab students.

B. Peer-2-Peer Design Lab students will realize greater improvements in marijuana risk perception after versus before they experience the PSA development and after versus before they experience the booster.

C. Non-Design Lab students will realize greater will improvements in marijuana risk perception after versus before they experience the PSA.
